Backstory: Amoux had a childhood that was anything but boring. Despite living with a poor family and being an only child, he managed to have fun with his aunt. His parents were always working, so he never really got to spend time with them. He and his aunt Angelique went to fairs, festivals, opera shows, and plays. Angelique was a very positive influence on him. Because of the stress of not having a lot of money, his father became an alcoholic, and mother a gambler. They would get into fights a lot, and Amoux knew that he had to leave his house when he saw his father strike his mother so hard she began to bleed. She mouthed the word "courir"(run). He did as he was told and went as far away as his legs could take him. After a while, he had made it to Paris and began living in alleyways, stealing just to stay alive. Being twelve years old and very thin, he was able to steal without a trace. However, once the authorities were notified of the young boy living on the streets, he was found and taken to an orphanage in Scotland. He didn't tell anyone anything, as he did not speak English, and would not let anyone touch him or take DNA samples to find his parents. Eventually, he was adopted by two loving young newlyweds, Emma and Chris. Emma could speak French, so she taught Amoux English. He is still not completely fluent, though, so he frequently asks Emma for help. The couple had also adopted two other kids: Alexandria, or Alex for short, and Louise. Alex is from Puerto Rico, Louise from Michigan. Alex was a bit suspicious of him at first, but grew to like him. Louise was a bit scared of him but became comfortable with his presence. He has been living with his adoptive parents and sisters for almost five years and is the happiest he's ever been. However, he is still paranoid due to his biological parents. He tries to avoid alcohol and drunks at all costs. He is not very trusting of anyone, but is comfortable with his parents. He is generally afraid of men due to his father's violence, especially if they are tall. He is trying to be less afraid, though.
